Buck 631 Paklite Field Pro Fixed Blade Knife
The Buck 631 Paklite Field Pro Fixed Blade Knife was designed for skinning and other outdoor tasks. This lightweight knife with a skeletal frame and large skinning blade has full tang construction, but weighs only 3.03 ounces, so it won't weigh you down when you're out in the field or on the trails.
The Paklite Field's blade is exceptionally strong, and can complete game processing without needing to be resharpened in the field.
This knife's skinner blade is full-bellied and has a strong, thick point well suited to even tough tasks. It is the ideal blade shape not only for skinning, but for other outdoor jobs.
It is made of Buck's standard S35VN stainless steel, as this has a high carbon and chromium content for wear resistance and edge retention. Buck's exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpen when needed. It is hardened through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.
The handles of Buck's Paklite knives are minimalist and ergonomic. The cut-outs and jimping provide a secure grip, even when things get messy. The OD Green Micarta handles make them comfortable to hold, and can be removed for easy cleaning.
The Paklite Field Pro comes with a lightweight polypropylene sheath that is designed to allow for a variety of different carrying methods.
